There are new modifications of the worm "Lentin" detected.
. The latest modifications "G" and "E" are potentially more dangerous than it's previous versions, because they are activated based on the same principle as Klez virus-load automatically without user's notification. The worm comes as .exe attachment and is approximately 20 kilobytes in size. It is very hard to identify it, since the subject line varies. Most of the times it has romance-related phrases like "true love" or "I am for u". If infected the worm will stop several processes and won't allow the task manager to load. Then it will display a video effect.

There is a new virus "Suplex" discovered.
Suplex does not have the capability to spread via email. The only way to get it is to activate the infected file on a cd, floppy or a download. After activation it infects all .exe files, and encodes a large percentage of non-exe files, so that they will no longer be usable. Upon encoding every 1000th file it displays a text with instructions on how to remove the virus. The user will be provided with an email address where they are forced to email for removal instructions.

Israeli company GreyMagic Software announced that Mozilla and Netscape 6.1 have a hole in the XMLHTTP module. The hacker can easily take advantage of it and gain access to the files on victim’s pc. The specialists from GreyMagic tested several other browser versions (Mozilla 0.9.7 and 0.9.9, Netscape 6.1, 6.2.1 and 6.2.2) in Windows 2000 and NT operating systems. All of them turned out to contain that hole. Other versions were not tested yet, but there is a strong possibility they will test positive also.
